Our Projects and policies

Every project we run begins with a story — a real person, a real barrier, a real need.
Our work is shaped by the voices of the people we support, and each project reflects the gaps they told us existed.

Below is a look at the projects that are changing lives across our communities.

Impact Stories

Real stories show the heart of our work.
Each one represents a life changed, a moment of hope, and a journey toward stability.

Lucy, a British woman, came to us during one of the darkest periods of her life.
She was isolated, struggling with her mental health, and had lost confidence in herself.
Through regular wellbeing support, gentle encouragement, and a safe space to talk, Lucy slowly began to reconnect with life.
Today, she feels more stable, more hopeful, and more able to cope day‑to‑day.

Amer’s Story — Safety After Trauma

Amer arrived in Newcastle as an asylum seeker after surviving significant trauma.
He had no support network, no stability, and no understanding of the systems around him.
We walked with him step by step — helping him access healthcare, understand his rights, and rebuild emotional safety.
He now feels less alone, more informed, and more confident navigating life in the UK.

A Family of Six — Stability After Crisis

A Tanzanian family with four children came to us during a period of severe financial hardship.
They had no food, no essentials, and no support.
We provided emergency items, advocacy, and ongoing wellbeing support.
The family is now more stable, connected, and able to meet their basic needs again.

Marta’s Story — Rebuilding After Hardship

Marta, a single mother, was struggling to rebuild her life after a difficult period.
She felt overwhelmed, isolated, and unsure where to turn.
Through emotional support, practical help, and advocacy, she regained confidence and stability.
She now feels stronger, more hopeful, and more in control of her future.
